Hello

Just had my pandoscopy with nose biospy, now waiting for biospy results been told 8 weeks for results, paranoid of results, shouldn't  Google but have.

Trying to stay positive.

  • Hi Alicent and welcome. The trouble with Google is that there is masses of info on there a lot of it inaccurate. What you do is look for something that tells you that it's not cancer, or at least give you a glimmer of hope that it's not, but all you do is find more and more stuff that dooms you and you end up down a rabbit hole and drive yourself mad. Google can be a really good tool ....it probably got you here....but for the moment I would really leave it alone.

Remember 90% of referrals are not cancer so hold onto that.

8 weeks seems an inordinately long time to wait, Suspect biopsies are usually through in 2 weeks. Did they take a sample of bone?

All you can do is keep busy. It is completely out of your control. I know it's hard. Maybe find yourself a project or get stuck into a hobby that you enjoy already and stop looking on the internet.

    Fingers crossed and hugs

  • Thanks dani.

The surgeon came to see me whilst I was still away with the fairies, all he said my throat was okay but took biospy  of my nose so not sure if skin or bone, your right everything  on Google is doom and gloom.

Am dangerous to myself, keep saying to myself am okay, feeling rough at minute due to being pulled about...

    Thanks.

  • Hi. Please keep off google find something ti do or else you will disappear down a rabbit hole snd struggle to get  out if it. Over 90% of referrals aren’t cancer, 8 weeks is a long time to wait my biopsy was back in days as they knew from my fine needle biopsy what  I had. . Try to keep busy the biopsy is as much to rule cancer  out than in.
    Hope  this  helps.

  • Thanks.

I thought that 8 weeks ...but that's what they said, now wondering  if thats good if they dont see me before 8 weeks.and am just panicking.

It will all be conjecture at the moment. The reason I asked is that soft tissue biopsies are usually back in two weeks but bone ones take longer.
Let’s stay hopeful. Remember that 90% HeartHeart
