Hi my name is Johnny and I'm 3 yrs on from a Tongue Based carcinoma cancer diagnosis and treatment. I want to share, talk, connect with people who have had a similar diagnosis, help and support others, listen to advice and learn from others and their experiences.

    welcome here Wink its great place to be as people are lovely Blush 

    I am 6 months after the treatment, less then a year ago i was diagnosed with SCC base of tongue and had robotic surgery with RT and chemo. Next Tuesday having oncologist and my second PET scan as had ulcer where was my cancer, so had my second scan to find out how my ulcer is healing up.

    how is your experience after 3 years? All back to normal?

  • Hi Johnny, welcome from me too. Good to have you here sharing your life after treatment. I had the same diagnosis and had six weeks radiotherapy. I'm four years clear tomorrow and there will be an entry in the blog linked below to celebrate

  • Hi Johnny, welcome from me too. Glad you are joining the forum.

    It is good we connect and help others with our shared experiences - plus learning on the way too.  I always think that all of us will have at times have something to share that helps others  - being through  our own experiences. I was diagnosed with a different cancer to you but we often can relate to each other's challenges.
