Evening ! Well what a whirlwind of a day. Been to see consultant and as far as he can see the scan results are what we were hoping for ( no spread to lymph nodes). The plan is to meet the team on 24.01 and then to be taken up ward to prepare for operation the next day to remove growth and have senitel node biopsy. The groups support over the past few weeks has been great and really appreciated. If it's OK I'll keep popping in for advice/reassurance.

Hi Mick. Good news that hopefully you can get away with just surgery. They have their skates in so hopefully you’ll be home and dry pretty soon
Dani
Base of tongue cancer. T2N0M0 6 weeks Radiotherapy finished January 2019
Thanks Dani. From what surgeon has said the treatment does come with some downsides such as fatigue and will need input from SALT. Hopefully i don't have to go down the radiotherapy route so looking at it as glass half full!
Thanks Ray. What bike is that on your profile picture
Wow that is good news
I went this morning also my news very similar, he very hopeful mines hasn’t spread also, but waiting for more of the biopsy results to be sure, however he is going to take my tonsil and the lymph nodes from neck, even though the nodes look clear
I do have a choice of surgery or radiation but think going for surgery.
I’m going back week on Monday for the plan
Good luck for 30th and let us know what happens x
