Bad/Day Night

Mouth, tongue cancer with teeth removal and mouth reconstruction due. I wanted to post today to let off steam after bad/day night. I was in hospital for two day had loads of biopsies in mouth which were OK and are healing up ,but incredibly bad throat after anaesthetic tube. Taking morphine now and co-codamol, but its making me sick. The worse news was my major operation has now been delayed twice until 17th January. I have come to terms with that too, using the extra time profitably. Yesterday I had an automated call from hospital about discussing results of biopsies on Thursday next week. My Consultant had told me Monday so I rang hospital to check, no it is Thursday. No sleep last night due to pain, then an early call from California (scammers probably). So when I got another call at 9.00am from the hospital asking me to go in this Monday I was I was not amused.

What a whinge! I was learning how to be pragmatic and was in quite a calm state. I appreciate what pressure NHS is under but this  is adding to the stress never knowing what is happening or when, I fear it is because of more bad news on results.

Anyway now I've got that off my chest I shall calm down and do some yoga.

  • Oh Posi, so sorry.
    rant away……
Morphine made me nauseous too. I was prescribed metoclopramide which did help.
Are you taking enough laxative? Being bunged up doesn’t help nausea

Monday is not long so fingers crossed everything goes ok.
