Good evening , I’m wondering if anyone would know about appointment times .
I have been experiencing coughing, choking on food , waking up at night choking and a hoarse voice for a while . I was refered to ENT by my GP . I then had a camera put up my nose into my throat to look at voice box which was healthy . I was then referred for a CT scan on my Thyroid and an appointment was made for end of December to see ENT doctor . I had the CT scan and two days later I had an appointment come through for an ultrasound .
I had this done on Friday and today I had a call from ENT to cancel my appointment in December . They want to see me this week and they weee quite insistent . I am a bit worried that the ultrasound came through quickly at the CT scan and now a change in the ENT appointment so soon .
Hi
they will move quickly if they think they need to.
I had a biopsy 14 dec and 24 dec told I had nasal cancer 2 Jan I had ct and mri. Then had consultation with multidisciplinary team 19th Jan and had my op 14 feb and the reason for not booking me in quicker is they had to have the ent surgeon and a neurosurgeon both in the op so had to coordinate diaries and the surgery room had to be a neurosurgery specific room.
The fact they are moving fast is a good sign they feel they have the opportunity to tackle it.
take care and honestly I know it is impossible not to worry but have faith in the team.
Thank you for the reply , I hope you are doing well now
Hu Just try to remain calm. Keep off Dr Google don’t presume anything,if they are looking at thyroid there’s various courses of treatment. Let us know how you get in. If you’re unlucky enough to join us remember head and neck cancers respond well to treatment.
