My appointment to have my mask fitted is on Tuesday. The radiotherapy is getting closer. Time, however, seems to be moving at a glacial pace. Yet, in reality, I was officially diagnosed 12 days ago, so they are moving along quickly. It's just me that seems to be moving slowly. I keep repeating in my head that three experts have told me this cancer is highly treatable.

I totally agree with Dani - curable with a good quality of life post treatment.

Your lucky Steve that the wheels are turning so quickly , All the best take one day at a time and you will be fine , Get audible on your phone and get hours of entertainment helps

Hi. Having the mask fitted is a strange experience. The malleable mash feels like a warm flannel. The staff press it to fit all the contours of your face & neck then it stays in place as it cools & hardens.
It definitely slows down time as you wait for the treatment process to get underway. Put your faith in the process, I am 7 months post treatment & happy to answer any questions you may have.

Another expert I am 220 week curable. Happily living my life sat in a ferry rocking inti Portsmouth after 9 weeks in Spain. Riding my bike every day mountain walking.
Living a great life. Cancer does not and will never define me. Treatment is hard I can’t lie but one day at a time you’ll get there
