Hello Benjamin, sorry to read this.
Few questions though, has this been the case since your op or has it developed over time? What system are you using to house your HMEs (I had a horrible choking sensation for a while which was sorted by using a shorter larytube)? Neck strap can sometimes be inadvertantly attached too tightly, if you're using one. Button might be worth a go, if you're not already using one.
Best advice though is to speak to your team; or the nursing staff from your lary supplier, mine (Atos) have always been very good with stuff like this.
Metastatic SCC diagnosed 8th October 2013. Modified radical neck dissection November, thirty-five radiotherapy fractions with 2xCisplatin chemo Jan/Feb 2014. Recurrence on larynx diagnosed July 2020 so salvage laryngectomy in September 2020.
Whatever cancer throws your way, we’re right there with you.
We’re here to provide physical, financial and emotional support.
