Hi
I was diagnosed with nasal cancer and had an op in February 2022 to remove tumour and large part of nasal cavity and then 6 weeks radiotherapy ending mid May 2022.
All was successful and now just coping with the after effects.
One area that has changed is the need to sleep with a humidifer by my head otherwise i wake up continuously with a dry throat.
The humidifier at home works great BUT i want to go on holiday and i am trying to find a portable humidifier to take on holiday or to hotels when i am working away from home. Does anyone have any recommendations? I bought one off Amazon and it did not work at all which is making me reluctant to buy another one without a recommendation.
I am also swimming 3-5 times a week which is really helping clear all the debris that had built up in my nose from the op and radiotherapy and using the steam room regularly i can highly recommend this to help.
Anyway i am adjusting to the new norm which seems to involve lots of teeth brushing and nasal douching but i am on a list to have the block tear duct from the radiotherapy dealt with as they wont do the op until 9 months after radiotherapy so also having to deal with a continuously weepy eye.
All good fun and certainly taking one day at a time
Hi. I’ve popped on as your post has gone unanswered. I can’t help with a humidifier as I didn’t need one but my reply will bump the thread up. Maybe somebody out there can help?
is the one you use at home to large to take with you?

Hi Dani
Thanks for posting a response yes my one at home would not fit in a suitcase and i tried a portal humidifier Amazon recommended and that came up in the top 10 recommended and it did not work at all.
Thanks i shall just probably have to buy a few different ones and test them out before holiday.

Oh wow no … nobody has recommended these to me. I will definitely pick some up and see how I go. I have been falling asleep with a Strepsil in my mouth when the dryness gets really bad with my consultant said I absolutely should not do but he did not recommend these. I shall order some now.
thank you so much for taking the time to respond.
Also agree I have 65% chance of making 5 years so we intend packing as much into the next 5 years as possible Mexico, South America, USA, back to South east Asia for the bits we did not do the first time around.
and if I make it more than 5 years we will start on the bucket list 2
