Hi everyone,
I have read a lot of your stories and can honestly say I have found strength in each and every one of them. My husband today starts 6 weeks chemo and radio for tonsil cancel which has grown into the side of his neck muscle. Surgery not an option, too close to the carotid artery. Having read some of your stories I remain positive for not only him but for all that have to deal with this awful disease/illness. As a carer I feel like a cheat on this page but just wanted to say thank you.
Hi jols and welcome
you’re not a cheat. Life can be harder for a carer as all eyes are focused on the patient. Your husband has a hard road to travel and will need you. My husband was my rock when I needed him and to be truthful when I didn’t and all I wanted to do was curl up and disappear.
Stick around. There’s lots of help for both of you here

Hi Jols, welcome to the group, things will feel alot better for you both now his treatment is starting, the time will soon pass, then his recovery will start. Please don't feel you are a cheat, carers are very important, on this journey. If you have any worries or questions, just ask away on here, someone will always come back with an answer if they can. All the best to you both.
Regards Ray.
Hi Jols welcome from me. You’re an integral part of your husbands cancer. I like many others coukdnt havd got through it without the care my hubby did for me. He’s a tough Yorkshire lad but he found it hard to watch me. I felt for him as all the attention was on me. Take everything one day at a time. Be pre pared for possibly some Nast remarks from hom. I’m honest enough to say I wasn’t very nice to my hubby sone days but he just got on with it.
