Hi all

I am new to the online community.

I have cancer of the right tonsil which has spread into my neck. Radio and Chemo for 6 weeks. Part way through the treatment.

just wanted to say hi, thanks for sharing your stories and looking forward to contributing to the group.

  • hi jacrelis , my partner is goin thru the same just now he starts his chemo and radiotherapy this coming monday , how have you been thru treatment ? hope your coping well with it , did you get a feeding tube fitted n if so how was that

  • Hi Debzy

take treatment as one day at a time. There is the relief that treatment has started but it’s still the unknown. everyone you n your partner help meet will give you help.

Today I start week 4 of treatment. Swallowing is hard - but I am preserving. your partner will get lots of things for side effects.  my kitchen looks like Boots the chemist with all my meds.

yes I have a feeding tube which I use for meds.  hubby is really good at helping with Peg.

    good luck to your partner.

  • Hi Jacrelis

Welcome to the community. I'm Dani and I am three years plus clear of treatment. Well done on getting through so far. Like you say, it's a day at a time and believe it or not the time does fly by and you're through in no time.

PS Thanks for filling in some details in your profile. It helps folk answering questions to know where you are along the path and how you've been. You can update it any time, by the way

  • Hi. I had a bald crescent at the back of my head - grown back now. Take painkillers on a regular schedule to keep pain under control. Are you using your PEG?
