Hi my son has recently been diagnosed with cancer in his tongue. We are still waiting for the tests for staging and prognosis. I have been taking him.back and forth a and e for the past 8 months and they basically dismissed us. He also has a movement disorder dystonia. The trauma caused by his disorder lead to the cancer forming. He is 23. I am the only support he has. His father and brother are taking a back seat as usual.
Any Information would be appreciated
Thanks x

My cancer was tonsil cancer so I’ve no first hand experience of tongue in someone so young.
Hopefully the rest of your family will step up for you.

All I can say is the surgeons and oncologist s in head and neck cancers are brilliant and the results can be excellent. I’m 4 years post treatment this month. Don’t despair the waiting’s the worst part. The fear of the unknown
