hi all. i went for my laryngectomy annual after-care appointment check-up and i have had a Semmy leaky valve for a few weeks now. and the laryngectomy nurse said we can't change your valve every time it leeks so i said can i have another valve blocker and she said we have given you enough. i don't no what I've done to upset her but i thought the nurse's job was to help laryngectomees aftercare.
It certainly is her job. Try again and smile. Take her a box of chocolates.

Base of tongue cancer. T2N0M0 6 weeks Radiotherapy finished January 2019
I don't think a box of chocolates would help me. because I asked for an appointment so I could learn hands-free speech and I've got to wait 6 weeks.
Hi sounds a bit hard although I was questioned last time I had it changed but that speech therapist is always iffy
I keep trying with hands free, got all the gear including the speech pressure monitor but just can’t grasp it
hope you do better
Tony
