Constant thoughts of the past

Hi all! I have recently been diagnosed with cancer in my neck somewhere caused by HPV. I am waiting for the results of the PET scan and will hopefully have an MRI scan next week or so. Over the last couple of weeks I have been constantly thinking of all the stuff that happened in the past from my childhood in the 60s up untill the 2000s. Even to the extent of trying to visualise the layout of all the houses o have lived in. All the memories are bombarding me! God knows why this is happening as it serves no value! I am quite anxious and scared about the future as I am sure everyone is.but these thoughts are exhausting! Just wondering if anyone has had the same experience

  • Hi Dani

Time does fly by doesn’t it. Yes I am doing well now thank you. I joined that exercise group that I was talking about to increase my endurance and general strength and that is going really well. Such a great group of people attend all so friendly. I am also back in the garden in short bursts which is something I love doing. The weather here is in a slow decline into Winter so the weather is much cooler but not by your standards. It is still warm enough to get out and about without a coat and do lots of outside things with hardly any rain. Your description of Spring sounds really appealing and is certainly the season that I like the best with all the blossoms out and I am looking forward to enjoying many more of them.

I am still waiting on my reconstructive surgery but hopefully that should be in early June so out of vanity am still wearing my mask when I go out to cover the battle scars.

    Sending you warm hugs

    Lyn
