"reply to well"

well i wish i were well

well enough to act well as if well

as if well meant to act well

and acting ____ meant being ____

but i digress, well-wisher, and of course

i am grateful ever so grateful

for trying to 'be well' equates to 'feel well'

you'd think

although it could be said

otherwise

as if well a particular or generalised state

well-being

and that could well be true

'well enough' to work

or to eat, to do things

in short, then, and no beating about the bush

would have to say still not well 'not yet'

feel i must now chase confirmation of status ...the nurse, surgeons, the hospital...

as if 'not anything' strange to tell must be well

proven

Metastatic SCC diagnosed 8th October 2013. Modified radical neck dissection November, thirty-five radiotherapy fractions with 2xCisplatin chemo Jan/Feb 2014. Recurrence on larynx diagnosed July 2020 so salvage laryngectomy in September 2020.

thanks mike, of course, yes, it's mine. no one else would claim it :) i was feeling a little fed-up and thought others who frequent this site might feel similarly.

Hi Matteo you’ve summed up recovery very well. It does get better honestly vim living proof 3.5 years later living my life riding my bike and walking miles .
