I wanted to reach out to people in the group and say ‘hello’. I’ve been diagnosed with a meningionoma (brain tumour) for two years now. I’ve had four rounds of surgery and have been asked to have radiotherapy. My overall feeling is gearing the side effects of radiotherapy and if my head and neck can cope with it. Anyone else also feel frightened? Or is it needless over-worrying?

  • Hi, Welcome to the site, I don't think anyone on this board will have had your condition but as regards the RT plenty of us have, I am posting so that your listing keeps high, I am on my second week of RT for Osopheagus cancer but my first cancer in 2020 for throat cancer I had the Laryngectomy but refused the RT after taking account of the pros and cons, this time round I had little choice but Chemo and RT, RT is a bruttle game and all I can say is speak with the Oncologists and RT department to get the full details, if you have someone to go with you all the better and make a list beforehand it helps no end

  • Thank you. I’ll have a look at the link you’ve sent me. Much appreciated.

  • Thank you for the welcome and advice given. I try to make lists but tend to forget to read them in my worry about appointments. How is you treatment going and how are you feeling at the moment? Has your speech been affected? Mine has.
