Welcome.  Be positive that in the vast majority of the cases the lump is a false alarm and there is no cancer.  Waiting for those initial results is really tough.  If it a cancer then you're logged into the right group for support as you go into treatment and then recover.  Most head and neck cancers respond really well to treatment and many of us have a good quality of life after we have recovered.

Thanks. The consultant wrote back to me on Thursday saying it was a high suspicion of a pharyngeal malignancy. They done a CT scan a week ago which picked up several lumps.

Sorry to hear that it is almost certain that you have a H&N cancer.  As we've said, we are with you on this one.
