Hi Ozzer and welcome. Please stick around and ask any specific questions relating to the treatment. I only have had surgery so far so can't really help outside of the generalities although there are a few common side effects along both routes of treatment.
Hi Ozzie welcome from me as well it’s not easy but if I can do it anyone can.. Any questions just ask someone will always get back to you.

Hi Ozzer and welcome from me too - you'll find great support here.
Just a word of advice over the mask fitting. Do make sure it is comfortable. It has to be tight fitting to ensure you are in the exactly the same position each session but if it feels too uncomfortable please mention it to the radiographers at the time so they can make minor adjustments at this stage. Some people like to have the eyes cut out of their mask.
Allthe best for next week.

You have. If you’re in this fix anyway there is lots of advice and support from people who have been there, survived and thrived.

Ozzie,
I’ve had surgery, chemo & RT for SCC in cheek/ jaw. Process sounds scary but you don’t realise how strong you are until you are faced with a process like this - you’ll get through & be stronger for it. I always had music playing when I was on the RT bed, each sweep of the scanner ( in my case 2) is only about 45 secs, the rest is setup & chitchat with the RT team. The healthcare professionals are so good at managing you through it, take all their advice. Stick with it, we need to hear more about your success story on the blog, we are all pulling for you. Steve
