My husband has Hypopharyngeal cancer .
he is getting palliative chemo just now as they can’t operate and as he has previously had radiotherapy for cancer further up his throat .we’re both so scared .
Very saddened to read this Begbie, it's not a situation we have to address very often in this group; your husband is very unfortunate, as are you.
Possibly you might get more support if you were to join the "supporting someone with incurable cancer group" here.
Can only wish you both all the best, palliative care was an option offered to me (which I briefly considered) in August 2020 but in my case there were other options. Wish I could do/say more.
Metastatic SCC diagnosed 8th October 2013. Modified radical neck dissection November, thirty-five radiotherapy fractions with 2xCisplatin chemo Jan/Feb 2014. Recurrence on larynx diagnosed July 2020 so salvage laryngectomy in September 2020.
Hi Begbie. So sorry to read your post. Just wanted to acknowledge your post , it’s the one thing none of us want to hear as we all know radiotherapy is only offered to us the once for our throats. Maybe as Mike suggested pop on to the incurable cancer grouo as well

So sorry Begbie. It’s a horrid place to be. Do you have support in place from your GP? It would certainly be a good thing to make sure the practice is able to look after both of you.
Mike has suggested joining “supporting somebody with incurable cancer” and I see you’ve ousted there already
There is a good support group here too
Look after yourself too.
Best wishes
Dani
