    Hi Ray,

Thanks for the welcome, it is certainly a surreal time. I am surrounded by many supportive and caring family and friends which I really appreciate, what I feel though is that I need contact with those going through or who have gone through what I am about to, hence my signing up which I have to say wasn’t easy for me.

    kind regards

    Dennis

Mine is P16 positive basaloid  followed by another word I can’t decipher that begins with an S, cell carcinoma of right tonsil with right neck node metatarsus…. apparently.

  • Squamous cell ? Yes mine had gone to lymph nodes. Which is what are lymph nodes are there for ti catch the stray cells. H p v 16 tumours respond very well to chemo radiotherapy. You’ve come to the right place

  • Hi Dennis. A welcome from me too. I’m late to the party as been busy tidying up the veg garden and checking a couple of beehives. I’m chasing Hazel to the three years in January.
Don’t be reticent joining in. You’ll have concerns as you go along so no question is daft. Somebody here will help you along.
Like Hazel I was told the cancer would take a year out of my life and it did, but I have had a great year this last 12 month with few issues to report.
The treatment is rough but you’ll be through it soon. Trust you team. I say this all the time so apologies to the regulars on here. Thus is new to you but not your doctors. They fix us every day and they are good at it. If I can do it at 68 then so can you.
All the best. Pop on when you need a little support and good luck
