Ive been told to drink plenty of water after radiotherapy session??
Any Tips Advice??
Hi Wopsan. Yes drink water I drink 2 litres a day. Keep off dr google listen to your team. Take it one day at a time. My blog below may help you theres tips snd links to others.
Usually the first week to 10 days you might not see feel much change. The chemotherapy best advise I can give you take the tablets they give you exactly as they tell you to. I did and didn’t have any sickness due to the chemo.

Radiotherapy is a piece of cake, lie on the table, few deep breaths while they put the mask on, it will be over in no time and you won't feel a thing. At mine, you could have the radio on, always asked for it on loud, pretty much 1 or 2 songs and you are done. Staff will be lovely and will look after you don't worry.
Cistplatin is different for everyone, my first one was a bit ropey (think I actually drank too much!) but was ok after. Might feel rough for a couple of days but it will wear off. The anti sickness meds will work, get them to try a different one if the first one does not work.
When you start treatment it seems so long but it soon goes I promise.
Hi Wopsan
I can't help with the chemo as I didn't have any but the RT is done pretty quickly. Your side effects from that kick in sometime at in week three when you will start getting sore. Don't be brave, let the RT team know how you feel and they will organise your pain relief. Take it by rote. Morphine comes with laxatives ( Laxido or Movicol). Take them. Best of luck...you'll get there. If I could....anyone can
