Hi there, my husband has just had a wide lateral excision of the tongue. It was done on Wednesday and he came home yesterday. The part of the tongue that was taken away is blacky/silver with a white rim round it. Does anyone know if this will go back to a normal colour cause it’s dye or is that the way it will always look now. Thanks xx
Hi wildcats. Do you mean where the tongue is left?
I think the best thing to do is to phone the hospital to ask. Nobody here can give you a medical opinion I’m afraid
