Hi everyone! I was diagnosed with stage 4 Nasopharyngeal Carcinoma 5 years ago...I was given radiation and chemotherapy treatment but neither worked... I lost weight and was weighing 105lbs at one point. My doctors told me i had 3 months to live... I sought a second opinion and was introduced to Immunotherapy...This treatment has done wonders for me....I lost most of my friends and family members were afraid to call me... I am in remission but recently my ENT Consultant advised that there is still residual tumor...They will let me know soon the next course of action ..I am thankful for this forum so where i'm able to share some of my experience.

  • Hi Onelove66

Welcome to the forum. So pleased for you that immunotherapy has had such good results for you and you are now in remission.  It is great that  you had a second opinion which resulted in you having this treatment.  Sorry to learn what you write about friends and your family.

I wish you all the best with the next course of action for you and look forward to your future posts.

    Best wishes

  • Hi onelove and welcome. Immunotherapy can produce wonderful results. So hang on in there. Friends and cancer are strange stablemates and you do find out who your real ones are. I must admit I was hugely surprised to find one of my most treasured and long lived friend just couldn’t cope and has abandoned me when others stepped up. I’ve made some new ones too so swings and roundabouts. Let us know how you get on.
