I’m 12 weeks post treatment and other than the lymphoedema in my neck I’ve been doing well. However, today with the footy being back on I’ve had a good drink and started vaping again. I gave this up during treatment because I couldn’t physically do it but I’m gutted cos I have started again today. Feel I’ve really let myself down
Feel I’ve really let myself down
You haven't
Just start at zero again. Throw the stuff away and go for a walk
Do you have a mate who would be willing to mentor you...talk to you when you feel you need to pick up that vape
Your oropharyngeal mucosa will FOREVER be fragile easily letting in armful chemicals...I'm sure you know that
I gave up smoking twenty years ago and the only time I ever missed it at first was when I had a drink....funny isn't it that there seems to be some sort of connection. I am of an age when you could prop up a bar with a pint in one hand and a fag in the other
As Dani says don’t beat yourself up. But do give yourself s good talking to maybe ask gp for patches. Find another distraction to do with your hands maybe a stress ball.
good luck fir next football game.

Just keep yourself busy try the stress ball hide it in your pocket if you don't want your mates to know. Like Dani I gave up over 20 years ago. I’m old enough to propping uk the bar with cigarette in one hand drink in the other. Even smoking at work asking customers who came in did they want a cigarette!!! I was a travel agent petty cash used tj but cigarettes tj hand tj customers while booking g holiday. Plus back rows of plane were dedicated smoking seats. Imagine that nowadays.

OMG Hazel. What on earth would that look like??!!
Oops never thought of that one !!!!! Ok yes stress ball but not in your pocket it’s about distracting your hands instead of reaching for vape.
