Hi,
Base of tongue,unilateral radio, 4 weeks into 6 week course...
Have been OK so far, but these last few days have been bad:
- neck looks like a Torremolinos beach nightmare
- lost all taste except for bits of HP sauce and some meat fish. Eggs, bread, cake, jam (even marmite), fruit, pasta, cream etc. all gone
- sharp pain in throat swallowing now from "under" my tongue (not ulcers), but can still eat/drink
- horrible persistent sweet burning sensation on affected side of tongue that only diminishes when crashed out
Apparently things only to get worse now... worried that the surgical site is clearly not healing and is probably going to be severely compromised now. Does anyone ever call a premature halt since presumably the 80/20 rule might apply in terms of efficacy of the radio?
I know this isn't a consultant's advice forum, but if anyone's any ideas for my neck, or food that escaped the taste embargo, would love to hear them!
