Hi... well ive finally signed the consent form for radiotherapy on the residual tumour that has been found since my op in may in which I was told complete removal... with many many nasty scars and lattimus dorsi removal to be used as a flap for the area where the tumours were removed... the consultant talked me through all the side effects
Its going to be done every day over 3 weeks,and he said the side effects quite often only appear after the end of treatment
Looking to hear about others experiences please... xxx

Is because it takes three weeks of RT before you notice much. I found it impossible to swallow by the end of week three so I had an NG placed. Maybe the RT won't get as far as your throat so that shouldn't be a problem? By the end of week three all you could tell from the outside was a slight reddening of the skin on my neck
Water under the bridge. Most of us make a pretty good recovery It takes time but we get there. Yours is a more difficult cancer and your journey is tougher than mine but keep the faith. We are all rooting for you.
