(T4 - base of tongue)
Halfway through radio - 6 weeks of unilateral 66Gy.
...usual side-effects: stringy mucus/dry mouth during the night, swallowing increasingly tricky (especially drink), trismus, but no change in taste buds yet...
... However, the worst effect is a semi-permanent (unless eating) sweet/metallic/burning/weird taste on the affected side of my mouth and tongue.
Has anyone any recommendation for something to chew/suck that might help (and not rot my teeth!)?
