I am now 6 weeks post treatment and things were going great. I have been able to eat crisps, pizza, chocolate etc.
Last Wednesday I took my son to watch Newcastle as I was feeling well enough. After that I stopped taking all my meds, main ones being Pregablin, slow release morphine, and Oramorph. I haven’t been in any pain but by god have I felt ill. Absolutely no energy and I’ve hardly eaten or drank since. I don’t want to go back on them to fix it but is there anything I can ask for tomorrow when I’m at hospital.

Withdrawal symptoms but I guess you know that. You have two alternatives. The first is to go back on the meds and reduce slowly. The other is to tough it out “cold turkey” feeling absolutely awful for a week or so.
I would be interested in what the hospital might suggest.
I tried exactly that though I was on just depo and fast acting morphine. I knew what would happen but I lasted a day! I took a month to gradually reduce my morphine
Perfectly ok.
I stopped the long acting stuff first straight off. Then reduced the oramorph by about a fifth every couple of days so I think it actually took me a couple of weeks rather than a month. I was on paracetamol for a good bit longer.
Those withdrawal shakes are something else.
Why don’t you try just a small dose of oramorph. You’ll be amazed how quickly you’ll feel better.
