Hi not been on here for a while... after 2 cancelled ops I finally had my 2 sft tumours successfully removed in may after 2 days of embolisation to reduce blood flow to the 2 nasties.... I had latimus dorsi muscle harvested and channelled up to my top back neck to form a flap..it was discovered during routine scans that I had 3 spots on lungs, biopsy confirmed metasise from neck...

I am now under Christies and have had my mri with dye and chest c.t,and back to discuss in september aduvant r.therapy..I am so scared that they will have found other 'things' with these latest scans....

Im still recovering and adapting to how I look since my op and feel anxious most of the time and have real trouble sleeping..

My mind will not stop!!!  Going to get away the week before my september appointment so hoping a change of scenery will do me and hubby good,he has been and continues to be 'amazing'...

Any tips on how to overcome these 'dark thoughts'...

  • Hi. I concentrated in the what now moments notthe what ifs. My motto is why worry over stuff I’ve no control over. I’m a slight control freak but my cancer was beyond my control so I put my trust in my team and concentrated on me dr googles not your friend so stay away .Enjoy your week away.
