Thyroid blood test.

Thanks Ray, I'm only justr going through all this been moaning for 5 years and unfortunately my results just scrape in so they are still reluctant to help

Hi Tony, do you have any symptoms which are connected to your thyroid? If you do, it's worth discussing it with your GP, I think one pill a day sorts things out. You sometimes have to push them a little, if they are reluctant to do anything. I really had to push my GP for him to prescribe Duraphat toothpaste, he kept fobbing me off that I should get it from my dentist, that would have cost over £12 a tube.

Ive been pestering my ENT consultant, Oncologist and GP's for 5 years Ray but the blood tests keep coming back just in region but I'm suffering constantly with hot flushes and other symptoms related to Thyroid, I had half removed with mu=y Laryngectomy op and my Speech therapist at my last valve change when I mentioned it that she understood that all Lary patients are put on meds, I approached another GP and he's really on the ball and I'm having 3 monthly blood tests to see if we can catch it just in case  it dips

I'm having my follow-up with the Oncologist next month so am having a F2F meeting to get something sorted

It such a shame that you have these symptoms, yet they are sticking rigidly to such a close test result. It's good that you have found a GP who is trying to help, I'll keep my fingers crossed for a dip in one of your blood tests. Hope you get something sorted soon.

I emailed my GP surgery concerning this...my last thyroid blood test was 2018 during treatment for colorectal cancer...I have now been pencilled in for a blood test...and will be tested yearly from now on.
