Hi me again,
So my 6 weeks radiotherapy finishes on Friday and I can still feel the lump in my neck. Did anyone else have this and get the all clear as this is what I’m struggling with the most. I was hoping it would be gone
Thanks
Hi. Relax that’s normal sometimes these take a whie to disappear completely. Lots of people report what you just have.

Morning Jako, just as Dani said, sometimes these take time to completely disappear. My husbands lump, that gave us the initial worry to begin with, did get destroyed by the treatment. However, after treatment he was still having little "lumps" here or there, what were inflamattions caused by RT, but went eventual. So please don't worry, this is common. If you are not sure, call your oncologist. After treatment we were still able to contact his oncologist/ secretary with anything. Hope this puts your mind at ease. Fellow wife Mel x
Morning Dani, on a different note. I was wondering, my hubby just had a 18mths post treatment. They are happy with how his neck and throat are healing? However, under his tongue seems to be a whitish spot like area. Is this because of lack of saliva, with the mouth being still very dry,is this just some kind of bacteria build up? His oncologist send him for referal. However, he didn't seem to be too concerned? Thank you. Mel x
It's good that either ENT or Maxfax are looking into it to put both your minds at rest. I have a few white areas in my mouth due to scarring and dry mouth. The first time my dentist saw them he got quite alarmed. I had to reassure him! I also have advanced telangiectasia so my throat looks like someone has been busy splashing red paint around.

Thank you Dani, on the off chance I sound cruel, but all these (young) people with their "anxiety problems", have got no idea what worries are. Living/ going through this kind of condition, is a constant worry. Having a loved one going through this,is one of the hardest thing I have been through. Hats off to all. Mel x

No you don't. I sometimes despair that youngsters have the wrong priorities. Most of them grow out of it. I know I was immortal when I was young!
