Travel Insurance - Going Abroad

I’m 8+ years after treatment for throat cancer and am cancer free. Complications over the years now mean that I am RIG dependent and have regular chest infections as a result of harbouring a bacteria in my lungs that can only be subdued using daily prophylactic antibiotics. I am otherwise healthy and (reasonably) able and can manage my daily medication and feed and water intake using the RIG.

At some point I would like to go abroad on holiday but am unsure of who the best companies are to obtain valid travel insurance at a competitive price. Does anyone have any experience of similar circumstances?

  • I had difficulty getting insurance...cancer and heart problems...arthritis...after a recent heart attack my insurance company dropped me....contacted Saga directly by phone and got sorted with a policy...not cheap...now with payingtoomuch.com.

  • Hi Reevsey, I have had my travel insurance with Insurancewith, they have always been very reasonable for me. The woman who started the company, has had cancer herself. It's worth giving them a call.
