Hi, i am 43, 3.5yrs post RT (60gy over 30 rounds) to the surgical bed the right side of the tongue for T2N0 tongue cancer. I have been very OCD with my dental hygiene, duraphat and flossing 3 times a day and regular appointment with dentist. I now have a loose lower jaw incisor. This has been on the watch list as I had receded gums. I have scheduled an emergency appointment with the dentist but I am really worried about the eventuality of the loose tooth, possible extraction and the ORN really scares me.
Anyone else had an extraction after RT ? Any experiences to share as I have been so anal about dental hygiene and im now losing sleep over this loose tooth.

I had a wisdom tooth out after RT. It was done at the hospital that treated me and recovery was uneventful.

It depends. If it’s loose already I suspect they will just take it out.
