Dentures after radiation

Hi Gregory, sorry to read you're in Dental trouble. I had a wisdom tooth out...One right in the line of fire so I was anxious about ORN but all was good; extracted in hospital and sent home on antibiotics. Just recently I had a tooth break right off but my dentist managed to get a post in and put a new crown on. 

Are you being considered for this at the hospital that treated you?

No not hospital ,dentist and oral surgeon teeth getting really bad just researching my limited options I am also scared of orn

Did you have to have hyperbaric oxygen treatments before getting tooth removed and post put in? Do you know how many gy of radiation you had I had 6440 gy thanks

I had 66 with the majority to left side reducing to 20 on the other side of mY mouth. 
Post was put in after a root canal which is considered safe for your own dentist to do. My hospital told me that an implant would be safe under 30Gy but obviously not foolproof. 
No HBO. You could ask about support with PENTO ( pentoxifylline and vit E) if you are having extractions. 

Thank you I'm just preparing myself for near future not a lot of dentist with experience to treat cancer patients and hard to find oral surgeon to trust some oral surgeons tell you pull all teeth and get dentures others say keep teeth long as you can . Hope all is well with you thanks again

What I would explore is getting your teeth root canaled and crowned. Hugely expensive I know.
