4 months post treatment new pain

Hello wifeinbattle, well done for your hubby to have come this far,with only 4mths post treatment,it's still early. My hubby is now 15ish mths post treatment also he's doing well, it took him about 5mths to swallow food,also we started with soft things. As to earaches, the treatment did cause some damage to both of his ears and it effects his hearing on both ears, that he opted for a hearing aid, however, I can't remember him being in pain so, I would suggest to bring this up to investigate. This could possibly one of the side effects due to treatment,at least that what we got told,when the subject 'side effects post treatment' came up. We find that our recovery is still a one step forward and two steps backwards kind of thing.  Hang in there. Hug. Fellow wife  Mel x

Fibrosis related pain?

Side effects of radiotherapy can appear months or years after treatment finishes, they can last for a few days or weeks then disappear, it's something we have to live with, your oncology team will be aware of most...I was not given much information concerning the latent side effects of CRT...I suspect most patients were not.... learn as we go?
