Hi everyone, 15 months after my RT there is still some internal swelling. Now they want to do a panendoscopy to rule out any residual and/or dormant cancer cells. Anyone have any experience of this procedure?

  • Hi

I had a panendoscopy as an inltial diagnostic procedure. Usual premed, nasal intubation and was a bit sore afterwards

My post treatment PET revealed a hotspot and I had another endoscopy to biopsy what turned out to be inflammation and no cancer.

  • Hi I had one as part of my initial investigation and had biopsy at same time. I had small cell carcinoma in my tonsil bed. I had general anesthetic and was done in day surgery. No real issues after just abit sore but was managed with paracetamol.

  • I've had more than I care to remember all under GA.  No real problems afterwards even if they have taken samples for pathology.  Day surgery and quick recovery.
