Just completed my first week of radiotherapy  I've already developed sore lips & small ulcers on my tongue. I was prescribed Diflam mouth wash/gargle for sore throat.

Any suggestions to ease my mouth & lips?

Thank you

  • For sore lips use a lip balm without petroleum jelly. Something line Burts Bees? Ask at pharmacy first something jelly free. Soluble aspirin is quite good for a sore mouth too. Swill and spit. Difflam is an NSAID so should help with the ulcers. If it stings you can dilute it a little. Ask for Gelclair tomorrow.
