I am interested to hear how long people have had to wait for/at their booked RT appointments. By that, I mean any/the delay.
15/30 minutes usually. Occasionally there was a machine breakdown and I had to wait longer. Once the machine was having a routine service and I had to be treated with a different one

PS. It often depends on throughput and size of unit. Singleton hospital has only four linacs and two of them were almost in continual use for breast cancer patients. I was moved to one of those once and they had you take your shoes and top off in the waiting room so there weren’t any hold ups. One of the nurses told me that they could treat an extra two patients a day if they did that.

Good morning, my husband's appointments most of the time got adhered to they were always booked for 12pm , on the rare occasion when a machine or two broke down, we could have been waiting for up to 2-3 hours. We got treated at Liverpool ClatterbridgeCentre, with quite a few treatment rooms available there and they were always busy on one occasion we had to wait even longer. Then having to wait for transport after, some days we didn't get home till 7pm. All the best on your journey. Fellow wife Mel.
The only time I had any delays was when a machine was down for maintenance and I was scheduled to a different LINAC- not a long delay - and when a patient came in from chemo as they always prioritised them so the RT had the maximum effect. It was swings and roundabouts as often I was that chemo patient!
Hi.PH2.Im.two weeks in .dealys can be very common.but if you have follow on apioments they do try to get you finished in time .

Frankly, if they had (ever) been on time I might have had the strength to continue…especially with the last minute ‘half price offer’. A 5/6 hour round trip is untenable.
