Hi there

My husband is 17 weeks (approx) post treatment and says his feet are always cold and often have no feeling in them.

Anyone else experienced this and have anybhints/tips on what might help.

Thanks.

  • Hi there, my husband had the same. We bought some insoles for his shoes from Amazon (Akusoli Insoles) and they really seem to help. His feet are still numb at times but are much better than they were.

    Hope this helps.

  • Morning LucyAnn and Debs.

Does it also affect hands?  I ask as H's are always cold and never used to be before.  Has Jon remarked if it's painful or just numbness?

I'll do some questioning when he gets up, although this hot weather has kept his hands warmish.  Thanks guys.

  • Hiya Gill ... again lol.

Yes jons hands and feet get cold. Neither did before.

And when he had chronic thrush Easter time his feet were excruciatingly painful as well. That seems to have stopped thankfully but the numbness, which has been helped by the insoles, is still there but better.

    Hugs Debs xx

  • Thanks lovely.  I've just felt his hands and they're warm (didn't wake him) so I'll see how it pans out.  I don't fancy the thought of him wandering around indoors wearing gloves!

It's a small mercy but luckily he never succumbed to thrush.

Sorry Lucyann, my post won't have helped in any shape or form. (Gulps!)

  • Hi Lucyann, yes, my feet and hands were cold after my treatment had finished, I'm not sure for how long this went on for, although it was many months. Also I had a fizzy feeling in my legs, which went on for months too.

    Ray.

  • Yes had this after cisplatin chemotherapy, diagnosed with Raynaud's syndrome, GP prescribed medication, Nifedipidine,  in colder weather I use heat pads, bought a reusable hand warmer online.

  • Thank you so much everyone.  Really appreciate you guys taking time to reply xxx

  • Good evening Lucyann, i never used to feel the cold even when working in a shipyard during the winter, but i feel it now in my feet along with some pain which is due to surgery. I sometimes wear thick socks, even two pairs, along with fur-lined slippers; it does help. I think it's just blood circulation related to the radiotherapy and chemotherapy. Hopefully your husbands condition improves with time, all the best, take care.
