Tonsil cancer T2N0M0 had neck dissection and TORS robotic surgery to remove tumour 3 weeks ago.

Thought I'd post some positive news....today I got the all clear....I kicked cancers butt!!!! They are keeping a close eye on me for a while as the margin on tumour was close to carotid artery.  Back to have throat checked in 4 weeks and ct scan in 2 months.

Can't lie the last 4 months have easily been the worst of my life but I'm alot luckier than some people. This journey had definitely taught me to appreciate every moment of life as it's bloody precious.

Still got along way to go with recovery. Still learning to swallow and eat and im still struggling with my speech but it will get better hopefully.

You wonderful people on here were so helpful and caring and I'd like to thank you all for your support. I'm not going anywhere though, hopefully I'll be able to give someone the same support that I received.

  • Hi linds. That's amazing news, so pleased for you. I hope your recovery continues at pace. My husband has two days of radiotherapy left out of thirty. Hopefully he will start his road to being well also.

  • That's great news. Posts like this are very inspiring for others.

  • That’s marvellous. I was so worried you might have to have RT. What a blessing you’ve avoided it.
