Hi,

Again, the wait begins first scan after finishing treatment October 1st 2024 was December saw something the consultant  were not 100% on, February back to see consultant still after camera not sure 12th April another pet scan . Anyone had a positive outcome after consultants were not sure 6 months after treatment. Trying hard to stay positive cant feel any lumps but was told HPV tonsil and 1 lymph node was on a curative treatment.

  • Hi

Yes I had the same scenario - I had hot spots and had to go for additional pet scans, but all ok 18 months since treatment ended - hoping to reduce frequency of visits to consultant all being well in October.
I got a few mixed messages - but all ok in the end.
I hope you get a great outcome - the waiting is the worst part.

My oncologist was sensible after my hotspot. Whisked me in for a biopsy so I didn’t have to wait. All clear.
where did your scan show something up?
