Hi everybody, I pray for all to be well.
i recently been diagnosed with Nasopharyngeal Cancer. I have chronic migraines, ear ache and lost of hearing, jaw numbness with tingling. This week I have had scans done and am waiting for the dates of when to start radiotherapy. My concern is within a week my eye sight has got really bad (double vision) cannot see straight within a few inches in front of me. One of my eye is stuck does not move properly? Can anybody help with this? Will the vision improve after treatments?

Good evening Sam. To be honest, i have not heard of this before about the eyes. Have you thought of going to Vision Express or Boots opticians as they can take photos, etc, and maybe tell you their opinion.I understand the other effects you are having, as they can be linked to the cancer you are going to be treated for. If you can, it might be advisable to phone someone in the head and neck department who can offer better advice. Sorry i cannot be of more help. Good luck , take care.

Yes the tumour can cause pressure on cranial nerves leading to what you describe but you must clarify this with your oncologist.
I was asked whether I was in pain from my cancer ( not NPC) and that if I was the radiotherapy would ease it pretty quickly. So I guess you might expect similar for yours.

i went to an emergency eye centre and was given glasses with prism lens. But everyday double vision is getting worse. So returned back to the eye centre yesterday and they advised to cover one eye? I hope after radiotherapy treatments my eye will come back to normal.
