Asking about ear pain (haven't diagnosed yet)

In my case I did not have any pain at all.  Just a lump that did not go away. 

This waiting period is absolute hell, but hold onto the fact that the vast majority of people on the 2 week wait don't actually end up with a cancer diagnosis. 

I also had severe ear ache in my left ear. Pulsing at times a bit like you describe. That was one of the things that pushed me to go to my GP. Also, I also had a sore throat but only on the left side which I thought was weird. I had the ear cleared of wax and no change. Then I had a scan followed quickly by a biopsy and then the results shows a T2N1M0 left tonsil. Around week three of radio it all appeared to go away - or at least it was less important than other stuff going on. After that I was fine - in the ear department. I'm now six months post treatment and my ear is still normal. I've not had a doctor explain this to me in detail but I have a feeling it was a coincidence in my case. The main thing was that it helped speed up my diagnosis and subsequent treatment.

The wait can be difficult. Your imagination goes overboard. All the tests are done for that reason and a lot of people find that they don't have cancer. I'm pretty sure there are many other problems that can present with the same descriptions that are not cancer. Hoping that you are OK and that the wait will be over quickly.
