Hi Topsymum, it is a big relief when they tell you they expect a cure. The treatment is challenging but doable, many on here have had the same, and here to tell the tale. It's good he is having a feeding tube, it will take the worry of not eating away, during his treatment. Stick with us we are here to help; ask any questions you have. Keep us updated along the way.

Lymph nodes are pretty good at stopping the cancer going anywhere else. It’s a relief for you both. 
It will be a slog especially as both sides of his neck are being treated but stay with us and don’t forget no question us silly. 
Look after yourself too. You are just as important. 
Speaking of looking after yourself. How are you recovered? 

Hi Topsymum, my husband is having similar treatment for right side tonsil and right lymph nodes. His is also having  30 radiotherapy and 5 chemo and a no feeding tube. Hope all goes well, good luck.

Thanks for your concern. Considering we expected the condition to have spread and be terminal the feeding tube is the least of our worries. We now know what expect and are preparing to deal with any problems positively as they arise.

Hi As others have says treatments hard. The feeding tube is a lifeline for many of us. I know mine was it enabled me to make a good recovery. Just take everything one day at a time. Head and neck cancers do respond well to treatment. I’m 7 years down the line and living a fab life
