Anyone just had radio withhout the chemo
Yes me. Six weeks. Both sides of neck but reduced dose to one side which spared my parotid so that I have a decent amount of saliva. I’ve lost high end hearing on the treatment side

I had no nodal spread so didn't need it. I asked about it at the time and as I was stage 2 with no nodes they wouldn't add it to my treatment. Cisplatin is used as a radio enhancer rather than to kill cancer cells. It makes the tumour more sensitive to radiotherapy and it's used in more advanced cancer

Well I have decided against it due to severe side effects
Well I have decided against it due to severe side effects
They are not as bad as the side effects from RT
But if you are stage 3 or higher I'd take it
Also radiotherapy is the main treatment
That's true
