  • Hi dpanky. 'All in the mind'!!!!!!! That made me laugh. Goes to show what he knows and I am surprised that this was said. The fatigue is so real and I wish he could experience it. It is definitely not 'all in the mind'. It is very real and it just takes time to get your energy back. It is a slow process but you do get there. My husband used to drag me around on his arm when we went out for a while but then bit by bit things improved and I got my energy back and now am back to normal. However maybe my age now (71) but I find I have to do bigger tasks in small bite sizes but that works fine for me and I get everything done using that method.

  • I’m in Scotland. The 6 weekly checks will cover a lot.  How long do they last?

  • i know i laughed when she said it she did say it is normal then said it can also all be in the mind so she did not dismiss it as being real but my doc has said its still early days into my recovery so i know its not in my mind and 71 sounds like u are doing great and i cant wait to wake up 1 morning and feel energised again as it is getting me down now xx

  • iam not sure as ive only just a week or so ago got the all clear i got my next check in march and the appointment for the 1 after that in may so will ask when i go in march xx

  • thats exactly how iam my mind says yes body says no i make plans or appointments to do this that and the other and cancel them when the time comes as i dont have the energy to do anything or go any where and indoors i do a bit then rest then do bit more before i would fly through everything indoors and be on the go all the time at work or at home now iam lucky if i do anything its a push to walk the dog each day x

One of the things that I find helps me is crystallized ginger...a bit nippy to take... but my energy levels seem to improve when I remember to take some.

  • i make shots of things including ginger most days things i dont like that help improve the immune system and gut health and fresh ginger goes in it x
