Hi anyone have a red patch on side of tongue? Getting results soon and my 3d scan of bone fragments above front tooth. I’m trying to handle the worry but it’s hard not to. I can’t seem to find anyone similar.
I’ve had symptoms of dry throat and burning tongue sometimes for 3 months!
Kos
Good evening Kos, i had jawbone cancer including a small part of the tongue, and did not have any of these symptoms, were you told you might have cancer. Try not to worry until you get the results back, hopefully, its something completely different. All the best.
Chris
Hi Kos. I had jaw cancer and have had 3 ops over the years for this. The only symptom I had was an ulcer on my gum which would not heal.
With my second bout of jaw cancer I had a lump come up on my collar bone. I did not have any involvement with my tongue so no symptoms from this.
I do hope you can get a diagnosis soon and then you will know what you are dealing with. Fingers crossed for you that it does not prove to be cancer.

Good evening Kos, my symptoms for jaw cancer were a couple of my bottom teeth becoming loose and generally not feeling well, this was my second operation for cancer, my first was like Sophies with an ulcer that would not heal and my third was a lump (boil) on my neck which was larynx cancer. It makes sense now about the worrying due to your previous cancer. Wishing you all the best and good luck, please let us know if you need more help or advice.Take care.
