Good morning everyone. Hope I can get some advice here. My dad is in hospital after having g a total laryngectomy and im not at at all happy with his care. He's had every complication going and ended up in ICU after having a second surgery. He's now back on the ward. I'm struggling to get information out of anyone and feel my dad's care isn't as good as it should be. Call bells go unanswered and consultants instructions can take a while to be followed. I'm extremely frustrated and want to be able to do something g without coming across as a stroppy cow
Hi Cleopatra.
So sorry to read this
Can I suggest you give the MacMillan hotline a ring. Somebody there can guide you through what to do.
I think it’s better than waiting for folk to reply here with bits of disjointed advice.

Needless to say it sounds awful. It’s a very invasive life changing operation and your dad should be getting the best care.
Hugs.
