  1. Has anyone had immunotherapy and did it work. Diagnosed last year with tongue cancer, had radiotheraphy and chemotherapy but came back after just 18 months.

Next plan was surgery,vi was taken down for operation to remove half of tongue but they had to stop operation as tumour now on left side so all of my tongue including voice box needed to be removed so they stopped as they didnt want this. I have had another MRI scan and they want to give me immunotherapy now. Didn't want to in beginning but now changed their minds.

Has anyone had this treatment. I feel like a number now and not a person

Thank you

  • Hi Night.

So sorry to hear how things have panned out. I'm in touch with somebody who has been on Nivolumab for five years and he is still well.

THIS is a search for immunotherapy inside this group. You could read through some of the threads

One of our members   has finished two years of pembrolizumab and is living well too. Click on his name and that will take you to his profile. In there is a link to his Blog about his cancer.

Finally one of our Community Champs has just started on Pembro. He is Mike, I won't tag him but I'm sure he will be along soon to join in.

    All the best
