wound site from rig removal

can you send the picture to your CNS for an opinion. 

she has gone off for an operation and is not around for a few weeks maybe i see if g p will take a look tomorrow ive thrown away all the nutritionist nurses paper work since rig was taken out and i was discharged from that team as well so dont have a number for her any more i will try see a g p tomorrow ive gone all thro with no infections so dont want 1 there now its out x

I had a PEG, when it came out I was supplied with sterile dressings, advised to change them daily,  that the hole should start closing within a few days, I was able to swim safely a fortnight after removal.

Hi Donna, if you feel it would be better to put a dressing on for a few more days, I'm sure that would fine.

i have 1  more dressing nurse left me a spare plus what i needed she told me every 3 days change it which i did n on the 7th day take it off and leave it off and can bath instead of shower but i worried it still looks a bit open i not good with tech i tried to upload a pic but cant see it so not sure if u can see the pic or not x

Good evening, dpanky. I would keep the dressing on if you are not happy. Normally, they heal up fairly quickly, so maybe a few more days will do the trick. Just keep an on it and take care.

iam not sure this is the problem not sure what to do ive done all what i been told to do when nurse took it out and today is the day dressing ment to stay off but not sure if it still looks a bit open have i uploaded the pic of it ok can u see the pic of it? iam not good with tech x

Sorry Donna, no picture yet, but if you are unsure about closure of the site contact cancer triage or the cancer ward where you received treatment they can usually help.... numbers should be on your treatment schedule paperwork
