Hi everyone.
Half way through treatment now and neck and cheeks look like I've been silly in the sun!
I'm using diprobase to keep things supple ,but I've heard that flamigel is good to calm the redness, and stop skin from erupting?
If so which one should I purchase as I can't get on prescription!! Argh
Thanks Mark
I used Cetraben but lots of folk report flamugel was good. Its actually made for the job, specifically
Get it on prescription. I’d ask at the hospital rather than your GP

just hope you haven't left it a bit late for it to have full effect.. use it religiously at least twice preferably 3 times a day.. does not need to be washed off before treatment, just apply at least hour and half before.. definitely moisturise overnight as well.. I take it you've looked at the website, so plenty of advice from the Daylong site as well..

if you do a search on this forum for 'regarding Flamigel RT' you'll find my post on the subject, and the excellent advice that I received..

Hi Mark.
Another example of differing practices across Trusts. When I turned up for my first RT session a bag was waiting for me at reception containing a large tube of Flamigel and box of Caphosol. I slathered the Flamigel on regularly and my skin (fair skin blue eyes…usual nightmare for being sensitive to everything ) survived without any issues.

Can't find it Loz ,but thanks

I'm not sure if it's only used after treatment, or can be used during treatment
It has silver in it so you can’t use it till you’ve stopped RT
